Derek BoyesCapulet (father to Juliet) Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet Antonio (brother to Prospero, the usurping Duke of Milan) Shakespeare's The Tempest July 19 to September 1, 2002 - York Shakespeare Festival Born and raised in Vancouver, Derek has been part of more than 80 theatrical productions throughout Canada and the U.S. Highlights include two seasons at the Stratford Festival as Cassio in Othello and Lorenzo in The Merchant of Venice, and a season at the Shaw Festival as Tesman in Hedda Gabler. He appeared in the world premiere of Ann-Marie MacDonald's Good Night Desdemona, Good Morning Juliet, and the title role in Opera Atelier's Bougeous Gentlehomme that toured to Singapore.
