"All the world’s a boardroom, and Shakespeare is resurrected as Executive Advisor.”
Peter Goddard, The Toronto Star

Successful leaders are great communicators. Leaders communicate effectively when they are clear about who they are and what they stand for, when they understand the diversity of their audience, and when they are authentic and genuine.

Resurgence Theatre Company is taking the Bard into the boardroom this spring and it gives us great pleasure to invite you to this workshop. In association with Janus Global Consulting Inc., we are providing a unique opportunity for business leaders to enhance their leadership and communications skills. This half-day workshop is highly interactive and makes extensive use of Shakespeare - his gifts for storytelling, characterization and language - and also uses drama. Voice coaches and actors will show you how to use your leadership voice, in an authentic and engaging way.

Resurgence is honoured to welcome one of Canada's most celebrated actors, Kate Trotter as a special guest facilitator. Her credits include many seasons performing and directing for The Stratford and Shaw Festivals, the Royal Alexander Theatre in Toronto, and the Kennedy Center in Washington. She has also worked in films with such actors as James Woods, Sophia Loren, Gene Wilder, Timothy Findley, William Shatner, Donald Sutherland, Al Waxman and most recently with Angelina Jolie. Kate is also heavily involved with communications coaching and training for senior executives, having worked with several Fortune 500 and multi-billion dollar companies.

Janus Global Consulting Inc., a Canadian based consulting company specializing in executive learning, initiated the Dramatic Leadership program in co-operation with The Stratford Festival three years ago - garnering national attention. This will mark the first time it will be available in York Region and all proceeds from the event will benefit the York Shakespeare Festival! Visit their website to find out more about the Janus team and their Timeless Lessons in leadership, teamwork, communications and strategy.
