Since graduating from the National Theatre School, Alon has performed at every theatre in Toronto, and many across the country. Recent successes: Hedda Gabler (Volcano/Buddies), The Wild Duck (Soulpepper), and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Birdland Theatre). With the creation of Theaturtle five years ago, Alon has initiated new work such as the acclaimed The Song, Alphonse and Kafka and Son. Alon's screen credits include Three Days to Jonestown, Dark Water, Cinderella Man, Our Fathers, The Pact, The Assistant, Our Hero, Slings and Arrows, The Eleventh Hour, Traders, Due South, and The Newsroom. Upcoming for Alon are lead roles in Shakespeare and the Queens Men project at the University of Toronto, directing and narrating The Snow Queen with the Tokai String Quartet at Banff Centre for the Arts, and Wajdi Mouawad's Scorched for Tarragon Theatre and the National Arts Centre. He is very grateful to play with these folks and for the first time in Newmarket, home to some of his favorite relatives.
