A Midsummer Night's Dream

2006 York Shakespeare Festival

Stuart is from Calgary, Alberta. He graduated from the Acting Program at the National Theatre School of Canada in 2005, and received the Governor General's Award. His recent theatre and film credits include: Herr Schwarz in A Flea in Her Ear (National Theatre School, directed by Chris Abraham); the Tailor in Taming of the Shrew (ShakespeareWorks - directed by David Ferry); the principal Stonie in The Last Chance Saloon (Indie, produced by Corus Entertainment); the principal Steven in Lucy James (Indie, funded by the Canada Council for the Arts). Stuart is extremely honored to have been asked to partake in such a strong company in this thoughtful, imaginative, and exciting telling of this magical story. While working with Resurgence, Stuart is also heading the creation and performance of a shadow puppet play The Man With The Wolf In His Belly, adapted by his company The Maboroshi Orchestra. This play will be presented in parks across the Greater Toronto Area over August and at the first eclectic music festival Bummer In The Summer at the Tranzac Club. Stuart humbly thanks David Ferry for sharing the "bright eyes" for theatre, and giving him the opportunity to work with him. All my love Liv. Hold up to the light.
