Irene Poole - as Mary Snow
Irene is a Resurgence Theatre Company alumni, pleased to return.
She recently finished an extended run of two George F. Walker plays, Escape From Happiness and Better Living at the Factory Theatre. Earlier in the year she appeared in the premiere of Linda Griffiths', The Age of Arousal at Alberta Theatre Projects. In 2006 she won the Dora Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. In 2005 she won a Dora Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female in a Principal Role - Play in The Leisure Society. Other credits include: The Gambler (Artword Theatre); Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad (Factory Theatre, Sudbury Theatre Centre and Prairie Theatre Exchange); Dona Juanita in Much Ado About Nothing, Lady Capulet in Romeo & Juliet, Juno in The Tempest (Resurgence Theatre); Fighting Words (Factory Theatre); The Game of Love and Chance and The Attic, The Pearls and Three Fine Girl (Sudbury Theatre Centre); Margaret in The Glace Bay Miners Museum (Factory Theatre); Cathy in Wuthering Heights, (Theatre Aquarius). Originally from Labrador, she spent several years in Halifax where she worked at Shakespeare-by-the-Sea and Neptune Theatre and taught at Dalhousie University.

Tim Campbell - as Jacob Mercer
Recent theatre credits include Macbeth in Macbeth (Shakespeare in the Square), Jake in Stones in His Pockets (Globe Theatre), Nate in Glory Days (Theatre Aquarius), Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Resurgence Theatre), Butch Honeywell in The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Birdland Theatre), Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet (Sudbury Theatre Centre), The Prince in The Dispute (Sweat Company), The Executive in Platinum Travel Club (Theatre Passe Muraille), Fred Gayley in Miracle on 34th Street (Grand Theatre), Owen in The Melville Boys (Sudbury Theatre Centre), and six
seasons with the Stratford Festival. Film and television credits include the soon to be released feature film Killshot (Weinstein Co.), Hollywoodland (Focus Features), Cheater's Club (Lifetime), Twitches (Disney Channel), Playing House (CTV), Our Fathers (Showtime), and episodes of The Eleventh Hour, Kevin Hill, and Queer as Folk.

LESLEY ABARQUEZ - Stage Manager
Lesley is very excited to be working with Resurgence Theatre this summer in her own hometown. Recently, she was the stage manager for Die Walküre as part of the Canadian Opera Company’s complete Ring Cycle. She has also stage managed the COC’s Ensemble Studio productions of The Bear / Swoon, The Magic Flute and Dido & Aeneas, and was assistant stage manager on several operas, including La Traviata, Faust, Wozzeck, Tosca, Bluebeard’s Castle/Erwartung, Rodelinda, Billy Budd, and Der Fliegende Holländer. Over the years, Lesley has also had the pleasure of stage managing productions for the University of Toronto Opera School, the Canadian Children’s Opera Chorus, Summer at the Roxy (Owen Sound), the Banff Centre for the Arts and the Queen of Puddings Music Theatre Company. Lesley is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
GLENN DAVIDSON - Set & Lighting Designer
Glenn’s set and lighting designs have been seen across Canada in over 200 productions.
Recent design credits include; Romance (The Pilot Group), The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Birdland Theatre), Letters From Lehrer (CanStage) Fully Committed (Mayfair Productions) Cinderella, (Ballet Jorgen Canada) Romeo and Juliet and Coppelia, (Hong Kong Ballet and Ballet Jorgen Canada); The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine (Dora award - set design - Theatre Columbus), and The Taming of the Shrew (ShakespeareWorks). He also designed the set and lighting for Resurgence Theatre's 2004 production of Much Ado About Nothing and The Compleat Works of Wllm Shakspr (abridged). Upcoming projects include; The Story of My Life and Schoolhouse (Blyth Festival). Glenn is a past recipient of the Pauline McGibbon award. He lives in Toronto with his wife Bonnie Beecher, their two sons Jacob and Oliver and his son Nick.

ALAN DILWORTH - Assistant Director
Alan is a director, playwright, artistic co-director of Belltower Theatre, and associate artist with Convergence Theatre. His plays include Yogyakarta, Autoshow-Prodigy, Eustache Wake (with Jorge Gidi), The Unforgetting, Rigby's Landing, and ma jolie. His directing credits include The Gladstone Variations, The Card Trick, Seneca's Oedipus, Mexico City, Eustache Wake, AutoShow- Prodigy, The Unforgetting, ma jolie, Da and Greensleeves. His assistant directing credits include Leo (Richard Rose/Tarragon), Humble Boy (Richard Rose/Tarragon), Goodness (Ross Manson/Tarragon), The Four Horsemen Project (Ross Manson/Kate Alton/Factory Theatre), and Care (Eda Holmes/Tarragon). Alan was the recipient of the 2005/2006 Urjo Kareda Residency at Tarragon Theatre, and is in the first year of his MFA (directing) at York University.

DAVID FRENCH - Playwright
David French is one of Canada's most popular and critically-acclaimed playwrights. His works include: Soldier's Heart, Salt-Water Moon, 1949, Leaving Home and Of the Fields, Lately. These five plays about a Newfoundland family have received hundreds of productions across North America, including a Broadway production of Of The Fields, Lately. They have also touched audiences in Europe, South America and Australia. David has received many major awards. In 1989, he was the first to be inducted into the Newfoundland Arts Hall of Honour. In 2001, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada. In 2003, French was Writer-in-Residence at the University of Western Ontario in London. For the past two years David has been working on a novel, and has just begun the notes for a sixth Mercer play. David was born in Coley's Point, Newfoundland.

MARNIE KING - Costume Designer
Marnie graduated from Ryerson Theatre School Technical Production Program in 2006. This past fall she worked in Alberta for three months on the costumes for Frobisher at the Banff Centre for Fine Arts. She returned to Toronto in January and has worked on a variety of projects including: Head of Wardrobe for Escape from Happiness and Better Living, Factory Theatre; Cutter for The Place Between, Native Earth; Stitcher for Orpheus and Eurydice, Opera Atelier; Stitcher for The Sheep and The Whale. Past Credits include: Designer for The Complete Work of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged), Driftwood; Assistant Designer for The Optimist, Tarragon Theatre; Assistant Designer for Taming of the Shrew, ShakespeareWorks; Wardrobe Assistant for The Merchant of Venice, Shakespeare in the Rough. Marnie is delighted to have this opportunity to design the costumes for Salt-Water Moon.

JOHN MCKINNON - Technical Staff
John McKinnon is a student at York University's Department of Theatre. He teaches guitar at The Arts Music School. John attended Resurgence's Summer Youth Conservatory about four years ago. He recently read A Movable Feast by Ernest Hemmingway and now wants to move to Paris and be a writer. He plans to get compelling or die tryin'.

JONATHAN ROOKE - Production Manager
Jonathan is happy to be joining the Resurgence team for his second season. Notable production manager credits include: 36 Views (Actors Repertory Company, Science Fiction(River/Marquis), Muscle Memory (Theatre Viscera), Simon Heath's 1002 Nights (The Shed Co.), and one fantastic season at the Regent Theatre in Picton, Ontario. Jonathan has just completed his 9th season at Theatre Passe Muraille as Production and Facilities Director.
