What does RESURGENCE mean to you?

Perhaps it's about spending a night out with your family in a beautiful park with the warm summer breeze and the stars overhead. It could also mean the thrill of witnessing a live professional performance less than twenty feet away at our York Shakespeare Festival. Maybe it means enjoying your favourite play without the two and a half hour drive and for a fraction of the price.

It could also be the sheer anticipation of what surprises await you when you walk into the performance tent this year. Or the fact that it brings national attention and cultural prestige to the heart of York Region. But if that sums up what Resurgence means to you, there's more ....

For some young people, Resurgence means the Youth Summer Theatre Conservatory, a dream-come-true opportunity to learn and perform alongside professional artists. Just ask the many graduates who are now studying acting at Ryerson, the National Theatre School and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England.
